Caves and potholes in Llimiana

Llimiana, in the Pallars Jussà, climbs the foothills of the serra del Montsec, overlooking the pantà de Sant Antoni and the valley of the Noguera Pallaresa from above. This settlement, of medieval origin and once a walled town, lies within one of the most emblematic limestone massifs of the Catalan Pre-Pyrenees, a territory with a long speleological tradition that leaves it with a notable catalogue of cavities.
