Caves and potholes in Tossa de Mar

Tossa de Mar, in the Selva, preserves the Vila Vella, the only medieval walled town still standing anywhere on the Catalan coast, built in the 13th century to protect against pirate attacks. Its rocky coastline, where granite alternates with limestone sectors, generates coastal caves and rock shelters typical of this stretch of the Costa Brava.
