Caves and potholes in Alins

Alins, in Pallars Sobirà, occupies the Vall Ferrera, one of the northernmost Pyrenean valleys in Catalonia, with its settlements scattered beneath peaks over 2,800 metres such as Pica d’Estats. This high-mountain relief, of strongly granitic and limestone character alike, contains a catalogue of cavities typical of high-altitude speleology.
