Caves and potholes in Arres

Arres, in Val d’Aran, is one of the small municipalities of the lower Aran valley, not far from Bossòst, in territory on the Atlantic-facing slope that sets it apart from the rest of the Catalan Pyrenees. Its mountain relief, with limestone substrate on the higher slopes, contains catalogued cavities typical of this singular Pyrenean setting.
