Caves and potholes in Cabacés

Cabacés, in Priorat, spreads at the foot of the Serra de Montsant, one of the most prominent limestone massifs in southern Catalonia and a designated natural park. The village, with a winemaking tradition like the rest of the comarca, is surrounded by vineyards and olive groves on steep terrain combining limestone rock and conglomerates. This relief near Montsant favours the formation of karst cavities within the municipal district.
