Caves and potholes in Canyelles

Canyelles, in Garraf, sits within the interior of the Garraf massif, one of the best known and most studied karst systems in Catalonia, with hundreds of caves and potholes documented across the range as a whole. The old town, set back from the coast, preserves a medieval layout. This limestone relief, full of dolines and underground formations, makes the municipal district one of the reference points of Catalan speleology.
