Caves and potholes in Castell de l'Areny

Castell de l’Areny, in the Berguedà, is one of the smallest and least populated municipalities in the comarca, made up of scattered farmhouses across a mid-mountain territory of woods and pastures. Its rugged relief and sparse human presence have preserved a largely unaltered landscape. This mountainous setting, consistent with the rest of the Berguedà, contains karst cavities typical of the area.
