Caves and potholes in Castellar del Riu

Castellar del Riu, in the Berguedà, spreads across a mid-mountain territory of scattered farmhouses and small settlements, in one of the least populated areas of the comarca. Its rugged relief, largely covered in forest, has kept the landscape largely untransformed. This mountainous setting, consistent with the rest of the Berguedà, contains karst cavities typical of the area.
