Caves and potholes in Collbató

Collbató, in the Baix Llobregat, stretches along the foot of the Montserrat massif and is home to some of the best-known and most visited cavities in the Montserrat conglomerate, such as the Coves del Salnitre. The distinctive nature of the rock – cemented pebbles rather than limestone – makes these cavities an unusual type within the catalogue as a whole.
