Caves and potholes in Gandesa

Gandesa, capital of the Terra Alta, was one of the main scenes of the battle of the Ebre during the Civil War, a fact that still marks the municipality’s memory today. Its territory, on an inland plateau surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, presents a limestone relief that contains the catalogue of cavities typical of this comarca of inland Tarragona.
