Caves and potholes in la Granadella

La Granadella, the largest village in the Garrigues, is one of the benchmark centres for extra virgin olive oil under the Les Garrigues designation of origin – there are more hectares of olive groves than there are inhabitants. The municipality, on the semi-arid plateau that characterizes the comarca, contains a modest but real karst, consistent with the limited presence of notable limestone relief in the area.
