Caves and potholes in Llers

Llers, a few kilometres northwest of Figueres, sits on the plain of the Alt Empordà, with its well-known medieval castle as the village’s most distinctive feature. Although most of the municipality has flat relief, the foothills extending towards the nearby inland ranges of the comarca bring more rugged terrain, with occasional karst formations within the area’s catalogue of cavities.
