Caves and potholes in Maçanet de Cabrenys

Maçanet de Cabrenys, at the northern edge of the Alt Empordà, sits in the valley of the Arnera river, in a mountain territory that climbs towards the Albera massif and the French border. This Pyrenean relief, wooded and sparsely populated, preserves a well-known thermal heritage (the springs of Font Vella) and a cave catalogue typical of this contact zone between the Empordà and the first Pyrenean foothills.
