Caves and potholes in Masdenverge

Masdenverge, in the Montsià, spreads across the alluvial plain near the Ebre delta, a flat, fertile territory given over to irrigated agriculture. The mostly sedimentary relief of the municipal area, far from the limestone massifs that characterize other parts of the comarca, means the cave catalogue here is smaller than in neighbouring municipalities with mountainous relief.
