Caves and potholes in Mont-ras

Mont-ras, in the Baix Empordà, sits a few kilometres from the coast and from Palamós, in a territory that combines the agricultural plain with low hills of the Empordà hinterland. Its relief, gentler than that of the immediate coast, preserves modest karst formations that add to the cave catalogue of this part of the comarca.
