Caves and shafts in Olèrdola
Olèrdola, in the Alt Penedès, is known above all for its heritage site on the Olèrdola hill, with remains ranging from the Iberian period to the Romanesque church of Sant Miquel, today an archaeological park. This location on a limestone promontory, overlooking the Penedès plain, has favoured the formation of karst cavities that round out the natural interest of a municipality already noted for its historical value.
