Caves and potholes in Prades

Prades, known as the “poble vermell” (red village) for the reddish stone used to build its houses and arcaded square, sits at over 900 metres of altitude in the heart of the muntanyes de Prades, the massif that bears its name. This relief, largely of limestone and granitic rock, forms one of the best-preserved mountain sectors of the Baix Camp, with a karst relief that gives rise to several cavities.
