Caves and potholes in Sant Carles de la Ràpita

Sant Carles de la Ràpita, in the Montsià, opens onto the badia dels Alfacs, at the southern end of the Ebro delta, with a long fishing and maritime tradition. Inland, the territory rises to the slopes of the serra del Montsià, a limestone massif that breaks up the flat delta landscape. This mountainous sector contains catalogued cavities that contrast with the flat scenery of the delta.
