Caves and potholes in Tortellà

Tortellà, in the Garrotxa, sits in the valley of the river Fluvià, not far from Besalú and already in contact with the first foothills of the Alta Garrotxa. While much of the comarca is known for its volcanic relief, this northern sector opens onto a more mountainous and limestone terrain, giving rise to a catalogue of cavities typical of this Pyrenean transition zone.
