Caves and potholes in la Vall de Boí
La Vall de Boí, in the Alta Ribagorça, is world-renowned for its group of Romanesque churches – including Sant Climent de Taüll – declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, and for its proximity to the Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici national park. This high-mountain Pyrenean territory, with its steep relief, holds a catalogue of cavities typical of this high-altitude environment.
