Caves and potholes in Vallcebre

Vallcebre, in the upper Berguedà, sits at the foot of the Serra del Cadí, in a high-mountain setting that saw a long tradition of coal extraction. This Pyrenean relief, with limestone sectors typical of the Cadí-Moixeró massif, holds a catalogue of cavities that reflects both the geology and the mining past of this mountain municipality.
