Caves and potholes in el Vendrell

El Vendrell, capital of the Baix Penedès, is known above all as the birthplace of the cellist Pau Casals, and sits on a plain near the coast, between the sea and the first foothills of the Garraf massif and the Serres del Penedès. This varied relief, combining a coastal plain with limestone sectors inland, gives rise to a catalogue of cavities typical of the municipality.
