Vilada, in the Berguedà, sits in the valley of the river Llobregat, not far from Berga, in a mid-mountain relief that already announces the Pyrenean foothills of the comarca. This terrain, with limestone and forested sectors, holds a catalogue of cavities consistent with the geology of this transitional zone toward the upper Berguedà.
