Caves and potholes in Vilanova d'Escornalbou

Vilanova d’Escornalbou, in the Baix Camp, is best known for the monastery of Sant Miquel d’Escornalbou, built atop a hill more than 700 metres high and restored in the early 20th century by the writer Raimon Casellas. The municipality lies between the Serra de Llaberia and the first outlying reaches of the Muntanyes de Prades, a limestone relief where the catalogue records several cavities.
