Caves and potholes in Cadaqués

Cadaqués, in Alt Empordà, rises at the foot of Cap de Creus, Catalonia’s first protected land-and-sea natural area and the point where the Pyrenees meet the sea. A fishing village turned artistic landmark through Salvador Dalí’s presence, it preserves a narrow, whitewashed, cobbled old town. The rugged relief of slate and granite at Cap de Creus coexists, at specific points of the municipal district, with small coastal cavities.
