Caves and potholes in Marganell

Marganell, in the Bages, spreads across the north-western slope of the Montserrat massif, one of Catalonia’s most emblematic natural landmarks. This conglomerate relief, sculpted by erosion into the characteristic needles and cliffs, coexists with karst formations in a different type of rock within the municipal area, contributing a diverse set of formations to the cave catalogue, fitting for such a singular mountain territory.
