Caves and potholes in les Preses

Les Preses, adjoining Olot, sits at the foot of the Puigsacalm and the serra de Finestres, already within the Parc Natural de la Zona Volcànica de la Garrotxa. Its landscape combines the volcanic relief characteristic of the comarca with nearby limestone formations, of which the catalogue records a number of cavities. Caves and lava flows coexist in this territory of a geological activity unusual for Catalonia.
