Caves and potholes in Tavertet

Tavertet, at 862 metres of altitude and declared a Cultural Asset of National Interest for its urban centre, sits literally on top of a 200-metre limestone cliff with views of the Sau and Susqueda reservoirs and the Montseny, at the heart of the Collsacabra. This vertical relief generates a dense karst here, with a catalogue of cavities typical of this cliff area.

The catalogue includes 35 cavitats (34 coves i 1 avenc) in Tavertet. SERRAT DEL VENT, COVA DEL, amb 4273 m de recorregut.
