Caves and shafts in Osona

Osona has in the Collsacabra plateau, around Rupit and Cabrerès, one of the most distinctive karst landscapes in Central Catalonia: a relief of sandstones and limestones cut by deep gorges, quite different from the agricultural plains covering much of the rest of the county. It is there that most of the cataloged caves and potholes are concentrated.

152 cavitats (125 coves i 27 avencs) in Osona are part of the catalogue. Most are found in Tavertet, Santa Maria de Besora and Vidrà. Cova del Serrat del Vent, amb 4273 m de recorregut.
