Caves and potholes in Santa Maria de Besora

Santa Maria de Besora, at the northern tip of Osona, grew up around the pla de Teia, at the foot of an old castle, in a predominantly mountainous territory. With only 164 inhabitants across 25 km², this rural municipal area preserves a limestone relief that gives rise to a catalogue of cavities remarkable for such a small municipality.
