Caves and potholes in Tivissa

Tivissa, built on a hill overlooking the Ebre valley, gives its name to the Tivissa-Vandellós mountains, a range of the Serralada Prelitoral that reaches 728 metres at the Molló Puntaire. The municipal area also contains the Iberian settlement of Castellet de Banyoles, one of the most important in Catalonia, and its limestone relief generates an extensive karst here with a notable number of cavities.
