Caves and potholes in Muntanyes de Begur

The muntanyes de Begur, in Baix Empordà, are coastal granite hills – a lithology uncommon for karst – that dominate one of the most photographed stretches of the Costa Brava, with coves such as Sa Tuna or Aiguablava at their feet. This granitic nature generates cavities and shelters of a different type from the usual calcareous ones.

39 cavitats (35 coves i 4 avencs) in Muntanyes de Begur are part of the catalogue. Most are found in Begur and Palafrugell. GRALLES, REC SES, amb 446 m de recorregut.
