Caves and potholes in Serres de Pàndols i de Cavalls

The serres de Pàndols i de Cavalls, between Ribera d’Ebre and Terra Alta, were one of the harshest battlegrounds of the Battle of the Ebre (1938), and trenches and remains of the conflict are still visible there. The abrupt limestone relief that made these ranges a strategic position also generates notable karst there, with real cataloged cavities.
