Caves and potholes in el Cogul

El Cogul, in the Garrigues, is internationally known for the rock paintings of the Roca dels Moros, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site as part of the rock art of the Mediterranean basin. The village sits on the banks of the Set river, in a relief of rock shelters and limestone cliffs. This same rocky setting, which once served as a prehistoric shelter, also contains cavities recorded in the catalogue.
