Caves and potholes in Serinyà

Serinyà, in the Pla de l’Estany, is known above all for the Parc de les Coves Prehistòriques, a group of cavities with human occupation dating back to the Palaeolithic, making it one of the most significant speleological and archaeological sites in the comarca. Its municipal area, close to the Fluvià river, stretches across a plain with limestone sectors that account for this concentration of cavities.
