Caves and potholes in Conca de Barberà

Conca de Barberà, known for the monastery of Poblet, extends across the northern slope of the muntanyes de Prades, the same limestone massif it shares with Baix Camp and Priorat. It is in this relief that the county’s cataloged caves and potholes are concentrated, in contrast to the vineyard and cereal plains that cover the rest of the territory.

87 cavitats (54 coves i 33 avencs) in Conca de Barberà are part of the catalogue. Most are found in Montblanc, Vilaverd and Vallclara. ESPLUGA, COVA DE L', amb 3590 m de recorregut.
