The Serralada Transversal links the Pyrenees with the Catalan coast, crossing Catalonia from west to east, with units such as the Cabrerès or the valls d’Hostoles i d’en Bas. It is the geographic unit with the fewest cataloged cavities overall, consistent with its smaller extent and gentler relief compared with the neighboring Pyrenean or coastal ranges.
