Caves and potholes in Valls d'Hostoles i d'en Bas

The valls d’Hostoles and d’en Bas, in Garrotxa with foothills towards Selva and Osona, are agricultural valleys of volcanic origin – the Vall d’en Bas is one of the best-known agrarian landscapes of the Catalan volcanic zone. Their substrate combines volcanic materials with limestones, generating karst typical of this transitional zone.
