Caves and shafts in Sitges

Sitges, known above all for its coastal town and lively tourist atmosphere, also stretches into the interior of the Garraf massif, where limestone terrain produces one of the most important groups of cavities on the Catalan coast. The contrast between the built-up coastline and the still largely unspoiled karst interior is one of the municipality’s distinctive features.
