Caves and potholes in Muntanyes de Prades

The muntanyes de Prades, with the monastery of Poblet at their foothills, form a massif of diverse relief – granites and schists in the higher parts, limestones around them – extending across four counties: Baix Camp, Conca de Barberà, Alt Camp and Priorat. This lithological variety is reflected in the catalog, with cavities of quite different characteristics depending on the part of the massif. It is one of the benchmark natural areas of southern Catalonia, with dense forests and villages such as Prades or Vilanova de Prades in its surroundings.

240 cavitats (121 coves i 119 avencs) in Muntanyes de Prades are part of the catalogue. Most are found in Mont-ral, Montblanc and la Febró. FEBRÓ, AVENCS I COVES DE LA, amb 1810 m de recorregut.
