Caves and potholes in Ordal, muntanyes de l'

The muntanyes de l’Ordal form, geologically, a direct continuation of the massís del Garraf inland, separated by the gorge of the Llobregat river. They share the same calcareous substrate and the same markedly vertical character of the relief, which is why they are often studied together as the “Garraf-Ordal” system in Catalan speleological literature. They extend between Alt Penedès and Baix Llobregat, and a very high number of cavities are cataloged there, mostly potholes.
